Boundless Beauty Recaptured in National Park Art
This gallery features my national park art--landscapes and close-ups that have remained in my vision long after we left them behind.
My husband and I are very fortunate in that we are in a position to travel several months each year. Using the privilege, we have traveled through all of the states and much of Canada in search of unspoiled landscapes. We have a special love for two of the parks—Great Sand Dunes National Park near Alamosa, Colorado, and Acadia National Park in downeast Maine—where we have been volunteers in their Visitors’ Centers, at their campgrounds, their educational programs, and their Artist-in-Residence programs. It is a great experience to live in these special places, and focus in depth on the environment, animals, birds, flowers, hiking trails, and water resources.
